Syberia The World Before

Syberia: The World Before has a really relaxing narrative pace, even for an adventure game.

For the most part, the game has more of a slice-of-life focus where series protagonist Kate Walker simply digs into the past of a woman named Dana Roze.



Vaghen, 1937: Dana Roze is a 17-year-old young woman who begins a brilliant career as a pianist, however, shadows begin to appear over her future as the fascist threat of the Brown Shadow looms over Europe at the dawn of -WWII.

Taiga, 2004: Kate Walker survives as best she can in the salt mine in which she was imprisoned, when a tragic event propels her into a new adventure in search of her identity.

A new Kate

The player will begin his adventure in the role of Dana Roze, a talented pianist who in 1937 lives in Vaghen, a fictional town in Germany that is about to enter its worst years: those of the Second World War.

Here is about to appear Umbra Maro, a nationalist party that hates the Vaganians, a community of which Dana's family is also a part.

The peace and life of the young pianist will be put to the test by the events that will take place shortly after, and it will be up to our Kate Walker to rebuild them.
